I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving! It was beautiful here in South Carolina and so much fun spending time with family. How did you do on your diet? I did pretty good. I had a protein shake for breakfast and then we had a later lunch so by the time that came around I was really hungry.
My mother out-cooked herself this time! She ended up doing all the cooking but she loves it. My sister Sally was going to do the pound cake but her back was really hurting.
She cooked an 11.5lb turkey, made crockpot macaroni & cheese, sweet potato casserole, dressing, mashed potatoes, potato salad and broccoli. For dessert she made “Granny’s Chocolate Cake”, pumpkin dump cake, pound cake, fudge and german chocolate cake. I ate a spoonful of sweet potato casserole and broccoli and some 90% chocolate for dessert. It was hilarious because my family wanted to try it so I gave them each a little piece. You would have thought they were dieing by their reactions! My sister Sally was so mad because she had to throw away a piece of chocolate. I didn’t think it was that bad, I mean it was really bitter, but I think because I really don’t eat desserts that I was able to get a little bit of sweetness from it.
Then we all went on a walk, probably around 3/4 of a mile. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to do it but I did. My cousin Jessica kept on checking on me and she also talked to me about some exercises I could do. This is a 37yr old woman that plays hockey with all guys! She recommended Bob Harpers yoga cd. She said it was pretty simple and also easy to make adaptions if I needed to at first. I think I will check it out next week.
I did no Black Friday shopping! I usually do some but there was nothing that I really wanted at least that was on sale. I would really love to find a nice ring to wear on my wedding ring finger. I’m not wearing mine right now and probably won’t again and I just miss having a ring on that finger. I really want an amethyst and sterling silver ring. Maybe next year at my birthday or maybe as a treat when I lose my weight! I need to think of some treats for smaller goals between now and then.
Here is a picture of me and my three sisters. Sally, in the burgundy is the oldest, then me, then Amanda and then Jennifer.

I was not as successful, but I have been good since!
Sounds like you had a good Thanksgiving too!
Looking good Ellie!
